Minna on the ground of conveyance, the prosecution counsel PRINCE BEN IKANI who had earlier produced an application in the

Also, to crown it all, the Nigerian
military said that they will never mortgage the lives of innocent citizens in
the fight against insurgency, the director defense information MAJOR GENERAL JOHN ENEJE, gave the assurance nationwide on media
news of politics nationwide. ENEJE said that over the years the army
had prioritized sea gun in the lives and property of the people in the attempt
to protect the nation’s territorial integrity and counter the insurgency
operations. He said that the fight against insurgency was carried out healing
phase and in line with international laws. According to ENEJE who specified that one
thing he want to make known is that the armed forces of Nigeria is one of the
professional that are bound by Geneva conventions of the laws of palmed conflict,
which its mandate is to protect lives and properties. So He also said that the
issue is not that Nigerian armed forces does not have arms and ammunitions to
defense but it is the issue of ensuring that lives are first and foremost
protected especially those in captivity, he said if you are position as
military to bring them out, do that safely and accordingly as an armed
personnel, not the issue to go and fire 100 rams as well as drop bomb here and
there., no, this is not the priority of armed forces.
On the operations Python dance 2, ENEJE
said undue propaganda about the exercise is responsible for the condemnation
and crises that led to degradation of the program in the South- East of
Nigeria. He said that operations Python dance 2 and other military exercise will
either restoring lasting peace in the part of the country; a lot on any genosidal
mission had been speculated. According to GENERAL ENEJE who still said that what is compared to an
operation Python Dance in the South – East; just as we have operation Parading Konama
in the North or in the North-West of Nigeria. And what operation Parading
Konama could have done and the third one is about to come up.
Still on this issue of Operation, ENEJE
said that other operations like operation Waxy similar to Operation Parading Konama
and operation python dance, and excess crocodiles too are coming up and nobody
complained from there. Still, he said that the training exercise for army does
not just start today, and he was part of it last year, even before it was now nicknamed
by thunders “EGWU EKE”, according to
him twelve years ago they have exercises there, and there was no complaint. That
is goes to tell us to make known to the certainty that there is an interior
motive for the complaint.
Finally, those that featured on the
program urged the military to always enlighten the populace before engaging on
such military exercise to prevent killings and over trans-fired in the South –East.
