FIFTY YOUTH SELECTED FROM THE 36 STATES OF NIGERIA FOR COURSE OF AGRICULTURAL AND OTHER VOCATIONAL SKILLS IN ORDER TO REDUCE UNEMPLOYMENT AND POVERTY IN NIGERIA AT THE OFFICE CENTRE INSTITUTE OF AGRICULTURE OLUPENA OSUN STATE IN NIGERIA IN COLLABORATION WITH NNPC

It is part of effort to reduce unemployment and poverty in Nigeria, fifty (50) youths selected from the thirty six (36) states of the federation in course of Agricultural and other vocational skills at the office centre institute of Agriculture Olupena Osun State in Nigeria, in collaboration with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

According to the correspondent of report of the program said that the fifty youth were selected amongst seven hundred applicants who applied for the program, the journey was sponsored by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation in some related companies. In the lecture, the head department of Animal Science PROFESSOR JACOB BABAYEMI said the need for the youth to apply for the prerequisite business principles that will enable them excel in their vocations. According to him, he also said that the business you have chosen and the direction you hope to go about it as well as being determined to succeed forms part of the basic business principle needed to succeed in their vocations.

The chairman on the occasion HIGH CHIEF EDDY AWALE, who is the ASHIFALUDON of Ibadan land, represented by DAN OSIBALOGUN, CHIEF BAYO ALUBI  urged the youth to make good use of the skills acquired for their social and economic development.

Representatives of the good General Manager National Petroleum Investment General Services in Subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation said that the organization also keyed in to the Agricultural Agenda of the Federal Government to contribute to the empowerment of the youth. According to him he also said that NNPC and them have the responsibility of managing the investment of the federal government in all sphere sectors of the oil and gas industry to ensure the good return on investment capital. This means that our investment should not just be producing Crude oil but also a diesel.

Also the commissioner for Agriculture, Natural resources in Rural Development PRINCE OYIWALO OYIOMI said government was determined to boost agriculture in the state. He urges the institute in the training of the youth and making them readily enlighten for National development. PRINCE OYIWALO OYIOMI enjoyed the drive to path in the society.

The ARCH BISHOP of the Ibadan Arch Diocese who is also the centre proprietor THE MOST LEKE ADEBOYE said the institute will continue to offer a quality Agricultural and vocational training that will add value to the Nigerian youth for self actualization. The Rector of the institute REV, MAKARIOUS OLATUNJI said the institute will sustain the goal of developing the capacity of the youths in the country. According to REV. MAKARIOUS he said that a country where the unemployment had become a mustar, common training on Agriculture emerges as a big kind of war.

Some of the beneficiaries said the training are worth wile, according to one of the beneficiary who gladly said that the certificate alone will boost his Morale and increase his passion. It pays to make good use of the skills acquired in this program.
