The federal government of Nigeria is expressing its readiness
to find out its recently lost integrated staff housing for civil servants. The
executive secretary Federal Government Staff Housing Loan Board DR. HANNASI SPEAKER stated this as the
issues at the moment in a Radio Media Network Program. She described the Housing scheme as a way to
make Home ownership for Civil Servant Interest in Nigeria and also a way to
motivate them to improve efficiency at work.
According the correspondent, who said that the head of the
Civil Service Commission of the federation MRS.
BONIFACE OYE had reinstated the commitment of the federal government
towards successful implementation of the federal integrated staff Housing
scheme program of the federal Civil Servant. MRS. OYE stated this in a Radio Media Network program “Issues of the moment”, according to the
head of Civil Service the implementation Housing Scheme was a fulfillment of
the campaign promises of the present administration. Still according to her,
she specified that there had been sad pays in the past but this time around
they had an administration under HIS

for all, and that is why this program is receiving all the necessary support
from government. The executive secretary Federal Government Power Housing Staff
Loan Board DR. HANNSI SPEAKER,
explained the board was fully committed to the housing project by ensuring
adequate financing of the program. According to DR. HANNSI SPEAKER who said that they have to go to the capital
market under the partnership of the financing company so that they can stay
with active loans in order for them to raise funds, and through the
intervention of accountant general of the federation and Minister of Finance,
they are almost concluding arrangement to raise thirteen billion Naira (N13,
000,000,000.00) for the Project and their priority will be addressing
the needs of those who are low income earners. Also the executive director MRS. IFEOMA OKOYE; one of the estate
development partners gave an assurance that they were ready to provide quality and

Similarly to the detail on board, the association of the
senior civil servants of Nigeria has condemned the alleged illegal appointment of
some officers in to the National Health Insurance
Scheme (NHIS). The Secretary of the association COMRADE ISAAC OJEREKE said such action was not in the best interest
of the Civil Servants on the scheme. At the meeting of the association in
Abuja, Nigerian COMRADE ISAAC OJEREKE also
issued a seven days ultimatum to the executive secretary of the scheme PROFESSOR OSUMI YUSUF to invade the
illegal appointment.
According to reporter of the incident who said in details
that Association of the Senior Civil
Servants Issued a Seventy Ultimatum to the executive secretary of the National
Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) PROFESSOR OSUMI YUSUF reverse the
alleged illegal appointment of some officers in to the scheme or face
industrial action. The Secretary of the association COMRADE ISAAC OJEREKE stated this in a meeting held at Abuja,
Nigeria. COMRADE ISAAC OJEREKE said
that the appointment did not follow the due process and explained that the
executive secretary had refused to discuss the matter with the union. According
to him he said that the Union just decided in a meeting just concluded being
taken care of nationwide, he said before this particular last meeting being
held, they have earlier run given them twenty one days ultimatum within which
they should reverse with immediate effect the illegality without avail and they
are still giving them extra seven days which is the final notice, after that NHIS will be authenticated nationwide and they
are going to engage themselves in the other types of industrial action within
the NHIS to clear some their demand because they will not allow him to succeed
otherwise He will desecrate the service commission and that is why they are
saying No because injury to one is injury to all. Also the chairman of the
Association of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) COMRADE MAMODI ABDUL REZACK also said that the executive secretary
after series of letters declined from reverse action of the appointment. The

Also, the Nigerian Union of Journalist (NUJ) has called for
