A MEDIA CONFERENCE BETWEEN SENATOR ITTAH INAN REPRESENTING EXECUTIVE, A NATIONAL ASSEMBLY HERO CHIEF ABDULLAH BELLO AND SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO THE SENATE PRESIDENT ON MEDIA AND PUBLICITY YUSUF OLANIYO

Since the Senate rejected MR. IBRAHIM MAGU as the chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), there’s ceased to be a cock in the relationship between presidency and the Senate. The EFCC had gone ahead to write a report to the president, in which it indicted Senate President BURKULA SARAKI and its aids for allegedly laundry about N3.5 Billion Naira from the Pirate Club Loan Refund. But in a swift reaction to the special assistant to senate president on media and publicity YUSUF OLANIYO, described the report as a mare more slinging Campaign.

A National Assembly Hero CHIEF ABDULLAH BELLO interacted with the special assistant to the president on National Assembly matters; while SENATOR ITTAH INAN on the relationship between the Legislatures and the Executive as follows: According to special assistant Senator that is representing the executive SENATOR ITTAH INAN who expressed his answers by saying the relationship between the legislative and executive are very cordial and there is no atom of hit. And he also said that even when you watch and listen to the debates of the senators on the floor of the National Assembly concerning any matter; there is no allegation made against the president in the conduct of state of affairs. Only occasionally in the course of conduct of the government or in the course of conduct of the over side responsibility by the senate and the legislature in general under section 88 of the constitution; of which there is often some hit raised between some functionaries government and those are all issues which the constitution vest the powers to work on, on the legislature. So that INAN opinion is not hit, he said that he always held that opinion and expressed it many times that at any time the legislature seem to be in complete agreement with every functionaries of the executive, then,  the public should be worried.

A question thrown to the Senator by the Special Assistant to the president: What of the Case of Ahmed Alliu who had taken the matter to the court?

The Senator answered him that the matter is still pending in court and when a matter is pending in court; you should comment on it.

And the Special Assistant said to the senator that they are already out of the court settlement and he is the Senator that is representing the executive, and what is he doing to amend the offenses?

The Senator answered him, that there is no offense between the executive and the Legislature, but the question of the custom controller general; there is re-approachment. And this is one of the isolated cases and he want to use this medium to assure the respective senators, the president of His Excellency SENATOR BURKULAR SARAKI, the deputy Senator of the senate SENATOR IKEKWEREMMADU, the entire minority and majority leaders of the Party and all Senators that the executive respects their powers, hold them in high esteem and in any matter where there is reservation; there is always opportunity to hold in-house meetings. He said that he is sure that one might have seen number of times where MR. PRESIDENT of the senate, the leadership of the senate, the members and Chairman of the committee hold meeting at different strata of government outside the preview of the media just to handle matters before they get to a stage of shouting match and for a long time they haven’t heard this, and even in few cases where the public have cause to say “look, this is not right on part of the functionaries of the government”, and the functionaries are always taken heed  and immediately an approach is made to the senate and to the leadership for re-approachment; and left for wandering in the days to come there is going to be a sustained and greater synergy to make sure that even some isolated cases that arose; such cases will not arise again.

Another question from the Special Assistant to The president to the National Assembly Hero CHIEF ABDULLAH BELLO: “The national Assembly in particularly House of Representatives has earlier proposed it and that the executive is still putting new capital project into the estimate in addition to acquiring a new budget software; how soon should Nigeria expect such passage?

The National Assembly Hero CHIEF ABDULLAH BELLO answered him that they are working very closely with the legislature, the senate and House of Representatives and the leadership of Both Chambers; according to him he said that they have shown and demonstrated great understanding towards this issue. That the minister of Budget and National planning; the minister of finance, the director general Budget office of the federation, according to him they work hand in hand with the Chairman and members of the appropriation committee while the respective ministers work hand in hand with the chairman of their respective committees; they are putting the final things together but he said Nigerians should not be worried because the budget assented by MR. PRESIDENT on the 5th and 6th of May 2016 last for one year and the budget will last on the 5th and 6th of may 2017, therefore, according to him , there is still budget to operate and he said that the only problem is that “are they going to operate the new budget using the revenue of 2016 or using the revenue of 2017?” But those are details; because there is budget existing. He also said that one must have heard some days ago that the executive said that they had released unprecedented over one trillion capitals for this year’s budget, and he said that is what they should be concerned in Nigeria and also that should make them appreciate that government has not ground to a hurt because of non passage of 2017 budget.

The special assistant to the Senate president on media and Publicity YUSUF OLANIYO, who thanked the Senator: SENATOR ITTAH INAN who is the special assistant Senator that is representing the executive and the National Assembly Hero CHIEF ABDULLAH BELLO  for their contribution in the media.
