Today being Thursday, 24th of March, 2016, the
Nigerian Union of Journalist Enugu state Council has paid courtesy visit to
General Officer Commander 82 Division Nigerian Army Enugu, Major General Ibrahim Attahiro in his office, Members
of the Union executive committee led by Chairman Alex Alum who intimated the GOC on the union commitment towards
ensuring objectivity electro portage. Letting him to know that working with the
division will help to fight the lasting solution to the challenges facing the
council in the state, Alum told the GOC that the union is ready to work with
the present administration to fight against corruption and insecurity in the country
and ask to inform the union of on division activities for proper dissemination.
And as a respond, 82 division GOC Major
General Ibrahim Attahiro who commended the union for the visit promise to
partner with NUJ in the fight against crime and criminality in the south-east.
The Nigerian Union of journalist Enugu State Council has
paid a courtesy visit to Managing Director and management staff of Enugu State Broadcasting
Service (ESBS). NUJ Chairman Alex Alum who led the executive committee team to the
station congratulated the ESBS MD
chukwuma ogbonna in his management for bringing the station to a second to known
standard in the state. Alum further solicit ate the partner with the union in
carrying the state statutory functions and ask the MD to ensure ESBS compliant towards
paying the union check off dues. In his response the ESBS Managing Director Chukwuma Ogbonna who promised to work
with the union expressed sadness over the irregularities the past executives of
the Union. Ogbonna however resituated
the Station commitment towards maintaining high level of partnership with any
reputable organization in order to accommodate every sector of the state
economy and the stations program and activities. The NUJ executive members also
Inaugurated NUJ ESBS Chapel Care Taker Committee Members with Sam Udokoye as Chairman, Joshua Ezioke Secretary. Members are Fredrick Nnaji, Judith
Ohine, Vivian Ude, Mary Kinda and precious chukwuekezie.
