THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OF NIGERIA HAS LOST BILLIONS OF CRUDE OIL BUILD ABOUT 34.7 BILLION US DOLLARS AS A RESULT OF OIL THEFT INSURGENCY


The federal government has lost billions of Crude oil build about 34.7 billion us dollars as a result of oil theft insurgency. The Chairman of the main Board of Nigerian strategy transparency DR. KAYODE FAYAMI made this known in Abuja on Monday 23rd of May 2016, while presenting 2013 Audit report conducted by the organization. DR.FAYAMI also stated that gathering about 6 billion US Dollars notes donated into the federation account by The Nigerian National Petroleum commission (NNPC) in 2013.

DR. KAYODE FAYAMI also the minister of the soluble unit stated the Gas clearing committee produced in 24.6 million US Dollars in 2012 to over 18 million Dollars in 2013. He stated the cases of other suspect in royalty payments, also displeased from 465 million US dollars in 2012 to 168.3 US dollars in 2013. In view of the report, the vice recommended that NNPC should store alternative importation of refined product to bear the revenue leakages.
Similarly 23.8 Billion Naira attached to the federation account from the Senate scenario sector in 2013 indicates revenue of 7.6 percent which is bigger than that of 2012. The minister of soluble DR. KAYODE FAYAMI were presenting the led made this report in Abuja, highlighted that there was no accuracy in the production of data and there was lack of clarity in legal and tax measure in this scenario sector.

The Minister also recommended the void arable include from the soluble one in 2014, should the share to state, and that effort should be gear towards Job creation and diversification of the nation’s economy. In react, the executive secretary of the whole team MR.ROSENY ADIA said the report will promote transparency and accountability in respective industries. In the view, the Government board of the whole team MR. GBENGA LEDOWN discussed the event as unique and attributed the fun dance in the report into 2015 stakeholder’s engagement.

AFGHANISTAN PIE AGENCY HAS CONFIRMED THAT TALIBAN LEADER MULLER ACTAN MONSEUR HAD BEEN KILLED


Afghanistan Pie  Agency has confirmed that Taliban leader MULLER ACTAN MONSEUR had been killed after the US terbited him in a drove strike, the drove terbited his vehicle in a remote area of South-West Pakistan near the Afghan border on Saturday 21st May 2016. The US secretary of State JOHN KELLY TET MONSOL had posed a continuous threat to US personnel. MONSOL esteem the leadership in July 2015 replacing Taliban founder and spiritual head MULLER MOHAMMED UMARO.

THE NIGERIAN NAVY IS TO COLLABORATE WITH OTHER REGIONAL NATION FORCES TO TACKLE SECURITY CHALLENGES IN THE GOVERNMENT OF GUINEA.


 The Nigerian Navy is to collaborate with other regional nation forces to tackle security challenges in the government of Guinea. The chief of naval staff, VICE ADMIRAL IBOKE ETHEI BASSEY made this known at the Interdenominational Church Service of the Nigerian Navy still on Diamond Jubilee celebration. VICE ADMIRAL IBOKE ETHEI BASSEY said the recent increase in activities of Pirates and Militants; the navy is determined to reverse the trend. The Commandant Nigeria Defense Collage REAR AMIRAL SAMUEL ALADE said the challenges face the Nation’s territorial water and it would solely tackled. In the sermon, REV. FATHER SAMUEL ROBERT OKPARAJI said it is a need for thanksgiving to God for saving the Nigerian Navy this far and pray for the nation’s leadership for the fight against corruption and Insurgency.

THE HOUSE REPRESENTATIVES IN NIGERIA INITIATE A LEGISLATION TO GIVE ADDITIONAL CONSTITUTIONAL POWERS TO THE AUDITOR GENERAL OF FEDERATION TO CHECK CORRUPTION AND ENHANCE TRANSPARENCY IN GOVERNEMENT


The house representative in   Nigeria said that he will initiate a legislation  to give  an additional constitutional powers to the AUDITOR GENERAL OF FEDERATION to check corruption in government and to enhance transparency. The speaker of the house MR. YAKUBU DOGARA stated this in a message to a meeting of Alo African Supreme Audit Institute (AFROSIE) held in Abuja.

According to the reporter from Abuja, Nigeria, the momentum tagged AFROSIE is a gathering of all Auditor of English speaking African countries, the aim is to bring stem to enhance transparence and governance and check corruption at all levels. The speaker of the house of the representatives MR. YAKUBU DOGARA  represented by the chairman house committee on public account MR. CHINDA OGODO said transparence in governance should be entrusted in Africa MR. DOGARA said Audition and public account is the responsibility of the Auditor General. Therefore, the house is determined to give him more powers to check on corruption.

The chairman of the AFROSIE and the Auditor General of Serial nill MRS. LARA PILL , said the meeting this year is active as it were the period several  African countries were witnessing political transformation. The Auditor General of the Federation SAMUEL OKORA expressed  the readiness of the office to be in the fore front to fight against corruption, MR. SAMUEL OKORA  said the office has completed the Audit of the 2014 budget and it will expand its activities to other sectors of the Nation’s economy.

Iss Bute from the Chlamydia Audit Foundation said the event will help to adopting transparent method of auditing. The meeting is also being attended by the 36 state of Nigerian federation Auditor Generals and other stakeholders which is to last for the next three days starting from Monday 9th may to Wednesday 11th May 2016.

CHAIRMAN OF THE NIGERIA UNION OF TEACHERS DELTA STATE IN NIGERIA COMRADE JONATHAN JENEDDY IGBE HAD REJECTED ALL CALL OVER BIOMETRIC VERIFICATION BY CONSULTANCY FIRM


Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers Delta State COMRADE JONATHAN JENEDDY IGBE had rejected all call over Biometric Verification by consultancy firm, declared over 600 teachers as Ghost Workers. COMRADE JONATHAN JENEDDY IGBE told Newsmen in Asaba that the exercised was Mared by irregularities.

According to the report which states that Governor IFEANYI AKOWA at the inception of his Administration last year engaged a consultancy firm to conduct a Biometric Verification of workers on the payroll of the Delta State Government. The exercise was also extended to teachers under the state universal basic Education board. The state Government believed that each monthly bill of over seven billion Naira (N7,000,000,000.00)was over floated, apart from the seven billion Naira monthly bills, the Delta State government of Nigeria also augment payment of Primary school teachers’ salary with over six hundred million naira (N600,000,000.00) monthly. This is to inform the decision that Delta State Government would carry out the verification to ascertain the actual work force. But the chairman of the Nigerian Union of teachers Delta State COMRADE JONATHAN JENEDDY IGBE, who said that there was nothing wrong in carrying out such verification. All done noted that the exercise was not done properly than the consultancy firm.

NUT chairman also attributed the lapses in the verification to poor record keeping than the state universal Basic Education Board, all relevant agencies and department of the government. He called on the state government derail the consultancy firm to collect the anomaly in the verification with a view in accommodating the teachers declared Ghost Workers in error.

Special adviser to Governor IFEANYI AKOWA on Labour and servicon COMRADE MIKE OKEME said government had no intention to retrench any worker. COMRADE MIKE OKEME maintains that there many ghost workers on the payroll of the state government; he gave assurance that those prepared Ghost workers in error will be cleared.

THE BAUCHI STATE GOVERNMENT OF NIGERIA IS TO DISTRIBUTE 20,000 ASSORTED FERTILIZER AND OTHER FARMING IMPLEMENT TO FARMERS IN THE SEASON


The Bauchi state Government of Nigeria is to distribute 20,000 assorted fertilizer and other farming implement to farmers in the season, Governor Mohammed  Abubakar stated this during the famers field day organized by the State Agriculture Development programme at the Uwada to encourage Farmers to engage in massive food production.

According to the reporter that Governor Mohammed  Abubakar who is represented by commissioner of Agriculture and Natural resources ALHAJI YUSUF YAKUBU MAMU said already approval had been given for the procurement of the commodity for honorable distribution to Farmers . He said this was in addition to 20,000 tones being expected from the Federal Government in collaboration with the state government under gross enhancement scheme, similarly, he said government has released funds for repairs of tractors and purchase of New One in effort to boost a food production. ALHAJI MOHAMMADU ABUBAKAR further said each program were designed toward achieving food security in the country and now asked farmers to avail themselves to the opportunity to improve their lives and the economy of the nation.

 The Program manager Bauchi State Agricultural Development Program DR. IYESUA appreciated the commitment of women for engaging in groundnut dry season Farming Scheme. DR. ALLIU GITEL said his Organization will partner with  Afar Benue River Basin Development Authority. Other stakeholder in Agriculture sector enhance dry farming season across the state. A woman farmer commended the state government for reviving groundnut dry season farming  stating that about 500 women has suffered in farming activity in Bauchi state of Nigeria.

THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OF NIGERIA DISTRIBUTION OF RELIEVE MATERIALS TO THE FAMILIES DISPLACED BY THE BOKU HARAM INSURGENCY UNDER PRESIDENTIAL COMMITTEE


The Federal Government has drive past the first phase of distribution of relieve items to many displaced persons in Bornu State of Nigeria. The 50 jack loads of food and non food items were presented to the displaced under the presidential committee for the distribution of the relieve materials and addressing the newest challenges faced by the IDP across the countries.

As part of the Federal government effort to help to the family displaced, a presidential committee was set up to provide reliever system especially food items to the vulnerable across the country. In this regard, the committees provide over 20, 000 bags of rice and other essential commodities to be distributed to the IDPS’ in camps and those that has returned to their communities in Bornu State Nigeria.

Either of the Federal Government delegation which also chief of the Army staff LIEUTENANT GENERAL TUKU  BROTEL said the national logistics committee is one of the sovereign presidential committee initiated to ameliorate the culminating condition of the people in the North –East . He assured that other programs had been put in place to restore the human dignity and also to revive the condition of the region. GENERAL BROTEL then call on indicted individuals and corporate organization to partner with the committee to reduce the suffering of the IDPs .

Chairman of the National Logistic Committee for distribution of the relieve items to IDPs, Assistant Controller General SANUSI MALUSE said the distribution exercise were designed in phases. He added that the second phase will soon be launched Bornu. Governor Kalcium Shakima discussed that this was the largest intervention  the state had ever received since the escalation of the Boku Haram crises, governor Shakima promised the Judicious utilization of items and called for more support to the IDPs. The National Logistic Committee comprise members of the Armed Forces, Para-military Services, Civil Service Society Organizations and regulatory agencies.

ENUGU STATE GOVERNMENT OF NIGERIA HAS SET UP A JUDICIARY COMMISSIONING ENQUIRY TO INVESTIGATE THE KILLINGS AT THE NNEMBO COMMUNITY IN UZO-UWANI LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA OF THE STATE.


Also the Enugu State government has set up a Judiciary commissioning enquiry to investigate the killings at the Nnembo community in Uzo-Uwani Local Government area of the state.  The State Government CHIEF IFEANYI UGWUANYI stated this when groups of people protesting against the incident visit him at government House Enugu.

According to the state reporter that the governor of Enugu State CHIEF IFEANYI UGWUANYI while address the crowd enjoined them to remain law abiding, Government had put in place measures to ensure that the perpetrators faced the full weight of the law. CHIEF IFEANYI UGWUANYI who spoke in local dialect expressed his disappointment with inability of security agencies to safeguard the area despite advanced information they receive.

Governor Ugwuanyi condoled victims of referral act and noted that vengeance was not a solution to the problem. One woman from Nnembo who was among the protestant MRS. SALOMY EZEUKWU amazed that the Fulani herdsmen killed all members of seven families.

In a remark the communicator Director Sort for Harrass Issue Development Organization MR. BRIGHT SAIUZAKA which spoke on behalf of other nongovernmental Organization called on the government to urgently give us security in community within the state. Other speakers warned the government to address the issue to avoid further killing innocent blood and unnecessary killing.

THE COMMUNITY PROTEST AGAINST THE PREMISES OF THE AKWA-IBOM STATE GOVERNMENT OWNED PAINT COMPANY IN IKODAKA, ETINON LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA OF THE STATE IN NIGERIA


The Premises of the Akwa-Ibom State Government Owned Paint Company in Ikodaka, Etinon Local Government Area of the state in Nigeria, was today locked in protest by youth and members of the staff of the company. The protestant alleged mismanagement and failure of the company to carry out corporate social responsibility practice.

According to the reporter the premises of the company was locked up as at 6 o clock in the morning yesterday with a padlock and traditional injunction known in Ibibio Language Ayeye. The company which was locked up by the youth of the community, former workers and coworkers of the company forced all staff of the firm to go home. Some of the protestant complained about the mismanagement of the company, retrenchment of the  workers which did not follow due process, unlawful deduction of taxes, poor salary and welfare packages for staff and refusal of the management to employ youth of the community as well as poor community relations.

Labour leaders of the company who demanded to remain an ominous called on State government to dissolve the current management and set up an interim management committee. Other complained that they were paid N10, 000.00 as main salary which far below the approve minimum wage.

The youth of the company complained that they are unemployed as well as the community leader said that their community has not been developed by the company. The management of the company could not be reached for comment .

THE SENATE HAD ADVOCATED CAPITAL PUNISHMENT FOR KIDNAPPING IN NIGERIA


The Senate had advocated capital punishment for kidnapping in Nigeria, the resolution was adopted after considering the report joint committee on police affairs, National Security on Intelligence had been recalling some kidnappings and how it is taken in the country.

While presenting the report the Chairman SENATOR ABDUL IBRAHIM representing Kastina South observed  since kidnapping started in Nigeria-Delta, nothing serious had been done to stop the trend. Senator Ibrahim told his colleagues from the findings of the committee, the security agencies had not performed optimally due to inadequate funding to enable them procure modern technology and equipment. He explained that the unhealthy rivalry among the security agencies had led to lack of required energy and intelligent sharing.

This report has unanimously supported by the law makers who called for stricter measure to deter people from engaging in such crimes. SENATOR ADAMU ALLERO representing Kebbi Central Senatorial District. SENATOR  OGE ONU AGEGE representing Delta  Central identified lack of intelligent sharing among the security agencies as one factor contributing to the increase of Kidnapping.

The Senate thereby adopted the recommendation of the committee which include urging the security agencies to embark on training and retraining of their personnel and to key them with abreast with the modern techniques to stem the tide. Also a plenary a bill to establish agricultural credit scheme to promote commercial agriculture in Nigeria past second reading. The bill was sponsored by SENATOR UMAR UGWUABUNWA representing Abia North.

UNITED STATE DIABETES SERVICE, IN COLLABORATION WITH THE FEDERAL MINISTRY OF HEALTH TO TRAIN NIGERIAN PHYSICIAN


The Nigerian Diabetes Initiative is being depose by a United state Diabetes Service, in collaboration with the federal ministry of Health to train Nigerian Physician to improve diabetes scheme and  services across the country.  The head of the preamble diabetes say WHO’s Doctor was deterred said in Abuja at this year’s National Diabetes imposing that under the initiative facility will be provided to cater over 2 million Nigerians who had been diagnosed with diabetes.

According to the reporter world Health Organization (WHO), the International Federation of Diabetes and Diabetes association of Nigeria, the country has the highest number of people suffering from diabetes in Africa. Nigeria also has the highest mortality rate from diabetes rate. In a lecture, the professor of medicine, and criminology and diabetes; college of health sciences, University of Port Harcourt PROFESSOR FEMI CHINENYE has said that Diabetes was on the increase in the country.

Professor  Chinenye explained  that there was need to increased quality care for Diabetes patient in the country through the provision of adequate facilities, the professor also said the country was presently having  shortage of specialist diabetes treatment.

The founder Diabetes Services PROFESSOR ROBERT said the Diabetes initiative is a true month internship program warn  Nigerian doctors and health worker to  remain United State standard in diver sing and treating diabetes.

PROFESSOR ROBERT said he must make diabetes services accessible, affordable and effective in all the young facilities including the permanent source centers nationwide, program was a symposium in Nigeria giving diabetes in Nigeria challenges and solution.

THE 2016 BADGE (A) NATIONAL YOUTH SERVICE CORPS (NYSC) ORIENTATION CAMP IN ISELUKU, DELTA STATE NIGERIA IN NIGERIA

  
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has been advised to take advantage of various permanent programs during the service year. Delta State Government DR. IFEANYI OKORA stated this at Iseluku orientation camp during the opening of the 2016 Badge A pair.

According to the reporter the 2016 Badge A CORPS members stood under the discussion sun according to their platoons at the orientation camp at Iseluku, Delta State in Nigeria as directed to be inducted into the NYSC scheme. Declaring the orientation camp open Delta State Governor DR. IFEANYI OKOWA Represented by His Deputy MR. KINGSLEY TAIWO tasked the corps members to be patriotic and to contribute to the development of whatever community they found themselves. MR. OKOYE also advised the inductees to take advantage of the skill acquisition program in camp to prepare themselves for the future.

Delta State Coordinator NYSC MRS. OLIVE ATUKUDU said a total of 1700 Corp members comprising 830 males and 870 females had been registered for the induction in to the scheme. MRS ATUKUDU noted her team had made all necessary arrangement to ensure that the program of orientation course go according to the plans. The coordinator also listed the challenges in the cam to include:
(1)               Lack of Office Accommodation
(2)               Incomplete construction of perimeter fencing
(3)               Inadequate Toilet and insufficient toilet

Highlight of the occasion was the Administration of the allegiance of the corps member by the Chief Judge of Delta State HON. JUSTICE MARSHAL UMUOKORO represented by JUSTICE CO OGUSI.
