EIGHT SUSPECT PARADED BY ASSISTANT GENERAL OF POLICE IN NIGERIA FOR ALLEGED ROBBERY, CONSPIRACY AND MURDER CRIME IN LAGOS NIGERIA

Eight suspected Criminals who specialize in High hijacking trucks and breaking into ware houses had been paraded before newsmen in Lagos by the assistant inspector General of police in Nigeria in charge of Zone two ALHJI ABDUL MAJI ALI.

The assistant Inspector General of Police ALHJI ABDUL MAJI ALI gave the name of the suspects as stated:
1.        Promise Saidi
2.        Happiness  promise
3.        Obi Enebo
4.        Silas Effion
5.        Monday Udoh
6.        Ifedinachukwu Iwuala
7.        Smaila Umar

According to the Inspector General of Police in Nigeria ALHJI ABDUL MAJI ALI who said that one of their mode of achievement against crime by their anti crime team and information said that both eight suspect are arrested for conspiracy, robbery and murder of which they confessed their offense of robbery; carting away of  Ruler Ships, Cartons of tomatoes and other valuable items that worth up to twenty two million naira.

He also said that the Anti Kidnapping Unit of the Zone MRS. ETIPIASMO said that a gang of Armed Robbers who specializes in hijacking trucks and breaking into ware houses conspiring to operate around the courting areas of the Lagos Metropolis. The Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police explained that is next action they took was to configure their hide out and arrested some of them while the subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the remaining four including two men who used to receive the stolen items.

According to ALHJI ABDUL MAJI ALI , during interrogation some of the suspects confessed that they have carried out many robbery operations including the one in Ajayi in which a security man was killed. One of the suspects OBI ENEBO who hailed from Akwaibom state in Nigeria, said he did not take part in the robbery but was invited to come and carry some goods. According to OBI ENEBO  who specified his claims that one of the robber called him to come and help them to carry something from a company, that he never knew it was a robbery issue, he thought he was going to help market goods.

Also one of the suspects MODAY UDOH who led the team as well as serving as Truck Driver explained that the stolen goods were taken through Onitsha in Anambra state to  Abakaliki all in Nigeria. According to him, he said that he was asked by his gangs to bring his truck around 3.00 am and did as they said, so he took the good to his friend who is a dealer and they later took it to a church.

The receiver of the goods IFEDINACHI IWUALA from Imo State said he was arrested at Onitsha but he did not know they were stolen items. According to him, she said that someone else proposed to him that he was in passion of stolen goods and he presented the receipt for the transaction between him the seller of the goods and he took the police to the resident of the seller of the goods in Onitsha but he was not found.

Assistant Inspector General of Police told news men that the eight suspects will be charged to court soon.
