The
centre for crises communication and nongovernmental and security organization has
called on overview of the nation’s criminal Justice System for optimal
performance; the executive secretary of the organization with hard AIR COMMODORE MUSA ERNEST who spoke
with the Aviation newsmen at the first Anniversary of the organization. AIR COMMODORE MUSA ERNEST said that
every year prisons supposed to make sure they don’t witness several crises due
to unprecedented conjecture as a result of poor justice system. According to
him, he said that the satellite correction of the actual funding, awaiting
trial inmates is an indicative of systematic premium in our criminal justice
system.
It
is public knowledge that some of these awaiting trial inmates have spent far
more years in the prisons fighting for Justice that the trial will be solved. The
awaiting trial inmates in most of the prisons; they have old structure and poor
condition of service of the prison staff as some of the factors responsible reoccurring
jobless in Nigerian prisons.
AIR COMMODORE MUSA ERNEST also expressed condition for the poor condition of the
internally displaced person’s camp in the country and advocated for a change of
management and good facilities. According to him he also said that considering
the IDP Camp they have visited, their interactive and investigations with the
IDPS revealed that it is very disgraceful and even criminal act that some camp officials
will diverts food stuffs and other materials meant for the internally Displaced
Person’s (IDPS) Camp. The centre discovered that thousands of bags of rice and
other food stuffs are regularly diverted and re-bag for sale in the market and
state officials who are primarily in charge of the Camp administration. This is
injustice and corruption to the highest order which the Security operatives
should monitor carefully.
The
executive Secretary also called on all the churches in groups to negotiate with
government to embark on the society.
