The
Nassarawa State director of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Nigeria ILAISHO IYAKWARI has been enjoin the people of the state to inspect national
symbols and leaders to promote the good image of the country. MR. IYAKWARA made the call in Lafia the
capital of Nassarawa state in Nigeria to tropical awareness campaign organized the
Aero Aid Common Wealth this year’s National Ordinance Day.
According
to the reporter of the event from Lafia who said that every September 16th
is observed as the National Ordinance day in Nigeria. The day is set aside to
create awareness and to enjoin in the consciousness of the Nigerian features of
National Symbols such as Nigerian Flag, National Anthem, and the National Pledge,
the Coat of Arm, the constitution, the currency, the international passport and
the National Identity Card. The day is significant because it host the date the
flag and Coat of Arms ordinance No 48 came into existence in 1960.
The
Nassarawa State Director of National Orientation Agency (NOA) ILAISHO IYAKWARI who led the sensitization
campaign team comprising staff of the Agency and members of the war against
indiscipline, wild Brigade to some public places in LAFIA the state capital said it was an offense to host tattered
Nigerian flag, squeezed Naira Note and to raise our National Anthem had as been
rendered, according to ILAISHO IYAKWARI
, He said that it’s an offense for one to use our National Flags as a table Mat
or as window flyers like cottons; that we need to hang the National flags when
there is commit protest, it is even serious offense for you to even do that in
the naira Note.
MR. ILAISHO IYAKWARI stressed the need for Nigerians to engender love,
acceptance and respect for National Symbols, he also encourage Nigerians to
embark the culture of hosting Nigerian Flags in their offices, Homes, business premises
and vehicles to promote the good image of the country. Half parents of the
event was display of the National symbols such as coat of arm, Naira Note,
Nigeria Flag and rendition of National Anthem.
