IMO STATE GOVERNOR OF NIGERIA HAS SET UP A STEERING COMMITTEE ON OIL AND GAS, RENT RECOVERY AND ALLIED MATTER


The Imo State Government of Nigeria has constituted a steering committee on oil and Gas, Rent recovery and Allied matter to improve on its internally generating revenue, the committee has the responsibility of rent recovery, cost of oil spillage, causes of youth restiveness to the operation oil farm as well as evaluating the standard of Niger-Delta development commissions Project in the state. Inaugurating the commission in Owerri, GOVERNOR ROCHAS OKOROCHA represented by the secretary to the state government CHIEF JUDGE ECHE  explain that the current economic challenge and a drop to allocation will risen to explore other areas of low exchange rate revenue generation.

The chairman of the committee Mr. Kingsley pledged total commitment to the members to the task. According to the correspondence reports that the committee was also challenged on actualizing government memorandum of understanding in the interest of oil producing communities.
