SKILL ACQGUISITION WORKSHOP ORGANIZED BY EVANGELICAL REFORMED CHURCH OF CHRIST (ERCC) IN NIGERIA

In another development over 100 people had converged on federal commission in Kaduna state to acquire a different skills that will make them self reliant in defense of this economy. The skill acquisition is brought about by Evangelical Reformed Church of Christ (ERCC).

According to reporter of the events of the workshop program who said that the four days workshop had remained undergoing training in show better oil making, comprising Olive oil, Cocoanut oil and Palm Kernel oil making. The leader of the Evangelical Reformed Church of Christ (ERCC) Women living Group MRS. GLORIA VILLA told them that the Global Economic Crises was affecting all areas of lives, and it is time for them to acquire skills that will make them self reliance. According to MRS. GLORIA VILLA who said that this skill acquisition was organized for them to teach the women on how to make use of Local oil in manufacturing. She also told the participants in the program to help spread down knowledge gained to other women in their various community so as to improve the development.

The President of Evangelical Reformed Church of Christ (ERCC) REV. JERRY MADIBE stressed the need for religious groups to express need on the way to complementing government’s efforts, as the government alone cannot provide every desired need of the people. According to the president REV. JERRY MADIBE who also asked the people to always rely on God’s leading to overcome all these challenges in the economy, he said that they should commit the problems prayerfully to God for proper solution.

DR. ANANIAS also advised them on the theme of direction, Fellowship and walking in the Light and love of God. DR. ANANIAS said that the main problem confronting professed Christians was depending on commitment to the truth. He also encouraged the women to run their businesses with the fear of God to devoid of Cheating to receive God’s blessing.

Some of the participants thanked the EFCC women group for adding values to their lives relating to the recent skills and knowledge that is acquired to improve their living condition and that of their families in the society.

SPECIAL PROGRAM ORGANIZED TO REACH THE INTERNALLY DIPLACED PERSON (IDPS) IN THE COUNTRY NIGERIA

The federal Radio Corporation urges the public to call them on a participatory program of the phased based organization to work together to provide basic amenities for the internally displaced persons, one of them is MR. ANDREW AJAYI from Abuja is calling government of all levels to discharge their responsibilities to all sources with the fear of God. According to MR. ANDREW AJAYI who specified that he wants to use the opportunity to call on the Federal, state and local government  attention to consider  the problems that the citizens of the Nigerians had been going through over the years that made them become internally displaced persons and begin to pray actively towards it, he also suggested that if government can treat the needs of humanity, the way we treat our daughters or son and wife just as the HOLY BIBLE specified “love you neighbor as yourself” , the country will not be experiencing this internally displaced problems.

Another caller from Imo State in Nigeria CHIEF JUDE UGBAJA stressed the need for elevating funds to better the living conditions of the Internally Displaced Persons IDP’S. According to CHIEF JUDE UGBAJA who said that advocating for a special form by the Internally Displaced Persons IDPS to enable them go back to their businesses like farming and could be used to make them acquire skills together with giving them employment opportunities to reduce psychological and sociological trauma they suffer from the loss of their dear ones and also give them sense of divine name. He also called on the Radio Nigeria, Non Governmental Organizations, Companies and self base organizations to be their brother’s keepers by making their own contributions to improve the living conditions of the Internally Displaced Persons IDPS.

Others who contributed to the programs through text messages want the internally Displaced Persons to be sensitized on the use of pass control. A guest on the program in the person of Program coordinator of the Civil Society in corroboration to the eradication CISCO and Non Governmental Organization MR. PETER OBI appealed to all the members in the programs on how to question the IDPs to return to their Homes. According to MR. PETER OBI who said that since the community where these internally displaced person are the same, they have to return to their various communities to occupy their place which he described as their territorial space, that insurgency will not make them ran out of their communities.

MR. PETER OBI also called for the enlightenment of the people on the responsibilities of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), and the status of the organizations, he said that the knowledge will enable the people to know how fast to seek help in cases of emergency.

Also the National Emergency Agency (NEMA ) is providing for  Governmental and Nongovernmental organization with humanitarian services to reach the situation. The director general NEMA MR. SANUSI instituted this in a message to this year’s edition of the federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), walking and Jogging exercise with the view to save lives with the humanitarian assistance. Representing the Director of Search and Rescue Operations ALL COMMODORE SANUSI MOHAMMED, the NEMA Director General said that the measure was to help the capacity of Nigerian to ensure the effect of the Rescue Operations during the accidents.

The deputy Air Marshal of the Federal Road Safety (FRSC) Commission MR. CHIDI NWACHUKWU said the major exercise is to enhance the efficiency of the work force. MR. CHIDI NWACHUKWU gave assurance that the commission will sustain his campaign and in corroboration with the stakeholders in the nations transport sector to help traffic management in the country.

THE COMMITMENT TO ENFORCEMENT OF NATIONAL COUNTER TERRORISM STRTEGY IN NIGERIA

The federal government said that it is committed to the implementation of National Counter Terrorism Strategy; this is to effectively address terrorism and insurgency in the country, the national security adviser RETIRED MAJOR GENERAL BABADALMU ADAMU stated this at the end of the National Stakeholder’s workshop on the implementation of the strategy in Abuja.

According to the report from the workshop, the reporter said that the stakeholder’s forum was aimed at building together ministries; departments and agencies as well as focal point access of the Non Governmental Organization to ensure the process of implementing the counter terrorism strategy. The national security adviser Energy RETIRED MAJOR GENERAL BABADAMU ADAMU represented by the National coordinator counter terrorism center in the office of the NSA NAVY COMMODORE  IYAMENI MUSA stressed that the director implementation process persons was an avenue for broadcasting of ideas amongst stakeholders to thrive before the government over objective of overcoming the insurgence.

 The security expert MRS. ADANNAOBE FALADE finally stressed that collaboration and effective communication will contribute to the success of the implementation of the matters entitlement. HUMANITARIAN ASSISTANCE TO OVER 250 INTERNALLY DISPLACED PERSONS (IDP’S) IN NIGERIA BY AN INTERNATIONAL CHILD ORGANISATION OXFARM

Over 250 internally displaced persons IDP has benefited from the humanitarian assistance of an international child organization OXFARM, the country director of OXFARM MR.YANG ROGE made this known in Abuja in an event to mark the girl Humanitarian day.

According to reporter from Abuja who said that the insurgency in the North – East has affected over 15 million people in one way or the order creating the biggest humanitarian need for the nation in the recent time, in the view of huge number of about 15 million internally displaced person in the area, OXFARM like some organization queuing up their humanitarian assistance like some other to be vulnerable. OXFARM country director MR.YANG ROGE explained that the assistant would be food items. According to the country director MR.YANG ROGE who specified that  they are going to provide food item, drinking water and Sanitation to the internally displaced person, he also said the these are the basic needs for their survival in the moment of crises.

Such Gesture has not been without challenges as both the United State and member officials had been attacked in the recent time in the course of reaching out through the media in BAMA BORNO STATE and YOLA ADAMAWA STATE both in Nigeria. The director of general of NEMA ALHJI SANUSIDI said that the agency has developed some strategies to address the patience needs of the internally displaced persons IDP’s, according to ALHJI SANUSIDI who said that there are children everywhere and there are also people with various challenges that demands special attention and the main point is to address those needs that demands attention so that all those that deserved the attention will be satisfied for their needs being attended.

The Director General of the National Directorate of Employment DR. IYOBAYA said the meeting which was faced with WRAP will help Nigerian youth to be involved in government Agricultural program, DR. IYOBAYA also summed the statistics areas of progress. According to DR. IYOBAYA who specified that he believed that the program will help to improve efficiency of the farmers and on the side of National Directorate of Employment, he also believe that it will help to boost Job creation in different sector of the economy in the country Nigeria. The directorate coordinator called on the Nigerian youth to embrace Agriculture and increase the Nation’s based Domestic Product.

On the other hand PASTOR TUNDE BAKARE OLTUNDE from the Church has appealed to Nigerians to be patient and to continue to support the president MOHAMMADU BUHARI’S Led Administration. PASTOR BAKARE made the plea on the Friday 19th of August while answering questions from state house correspondent at a meeting with the President MOHAMMADU BUHARI at the presidential villa in Abuja. PASTOR BAKARE assured the people that the current social economic challenges confronting the country will soon come few stay. PASTOR BAKARE described the president as a listening leader as the president MOHAMMADU BUHARI continues to respond quality to the problems facing Nigerians. THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OF NIGERIA HAS APPROVED THE NATIONAL WOMEN EMPOWERMENT FUND OF 1.6 BILLION NAIRA

The Federal government has approved the national women empowerment fund of 1.6 Billion Naira to serve as micro crop facility for women in the rural areas, the minister of women affairs and social development HAJIA HAISHA AGHASA made these known in Abuja at the meeting with the commissioners for rural task and the implementation the empowerment fund.

According to reporter of the event from Abuja who said that regarding to dates of the National Bureau for statistic, women accessed most of the credit facilities in the country’s financial sector. It is based on this that the National Women Empowerment relationship erects to introduce and make micro credit facilities accessible to women in the Rural Areas. The Minister Women affairs and Social development HAJIA HAISHA AGHASA said women will assist in building the economies of the communities especially those affected by insurgency. THE ALLEGED FRAUDULENT FORGED TAX CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE SUBMITTED TO NIGERIAN INDEPENDENT NATIONAL ELECTORAL COMMISSION BEFORE THE PRIMARY ELECTION AGAINST GOVERNOR OKEZIE IKPEAZU BY MR. UCHE OGAH IN THE FEDERAL HIGH COURT ABUJA HAD BEEN PROVED WRONG.


The coordinator in Abuja the Federal High Court judgment with southern governor of Abia state Governor OKEZIE IKPEAZU, from the office in the round of alleged fraud forged tax clearance certificate, the court held that the originate of the summon that led to the judgment was not properly instituted.

UCHE OGAH, she said that the strong ban was wrong to have refused to receive  as evidence of DR. OKEZIE IKPEAZU tax clearance provided by the Abia State Tax office. On the basis that he came late.

The Abia Court maintained along the strong judgment to stay will be among the rope in democracy because DR. IKPEAZU has already been noted in the office by the people of the state. The council to DR. OKEZIE IKPEAZU, CHIEF KAI ADAMU expressed satisfaction for the Judgment. According to CHIEF KAI ADAMU he said that he was happy that the matter had been put to rest so that the Governor of Abia State can rule the state in peace.

The consent to MR. UCHE OGAH, MR. MARKS IROKA said that the case will be sued to the SUPREME COURT for further clarification of judgment , also the Abia court also rule that a sum of  seven hundred thousand naira should be paid to DR. OKEZIE IKPEAZU by MR. UCHE OGAH.

INMATES VIOLATION IN NIGERIAN PRISONS AUTHORITY IN ABAKALIKI EBONYI STATE BRANCH

Abakaliki Nigeria Prison crises had been secured by Security Operatives, according to the reporter of the incident from Abakaliki said that some of the inmates sustained injuries.

According to the reporter who said that roads and streets leading out and in of the prisons which is adjacent to Ebonyi State police command and few minutes away from government house Abakaliki were covered up by state security armed operatives when journalist arrived the area, investigation revealed that the incident started from some warders who were acting on intelligent that some inmates were in possession of some dangerous weapon wanting to conduct search in themselves. The move was somehow resisted by the inmates and thereby triggered riot while some allegedly made attempt to escape by breaking down the inception of the prison walls.

Confirming the incident the controller of the prisons in the state MRS. EMILLIA OKWUTA said the inmates who sustained injuries were receiving medical attention. According to MRS. EMILIA OKWUTA she said that they were about three inmates that were outside the prison violating while the prisons authorities used tear gas on them and on the process some got injured as they are at the moment receiving treatment. MRS. EMILIA OKWUTA who has showed duty two weeks ago in the state described the incident as unfortunate pointing out that the prisons officials had been up and doing to ensure the condition of the inmates met the best standard. MRS. EMILIA OKWUTA also said that she was at the event of the incident last week to make the familiarization with the inmate and she was told that there was no problem that the officers in charge of duty were treating the whole issues of the inmate as expected.

Also the Police public Relation officer in the state MR. JUDGE OKAFOR stated that rapid respond of the state security operatives from the state commands ensured that the situation did not get out of hand.

According to the commissioner who advised them that if they are having this type of difficulty in the market premises that they should make immediate report to the ministry of Environment Enugu State whose duty is to assist in the environmental issues by making it known to the state government.

Also a constitutional lawyer and a human right activist DR. GODSMAN OKAFOR explained that there were provisions that support rights of citizens to decent environment which should of be violated.

CURRENT YOUTH EMPOWERNMENT PROGRAM IN ABUJA NIGERIA

The Industrial Trust Fund Director MR. DICKSON EMERAH   said that the youth empowerment program became necessary because the  federal government had consistently to emphasize on the need to diversify the economy by taking advantage of the numerous opportunity that abide in all sectors. MR. ONYENATU asked all state government and stakeholders to join hands with the federal government in reference to amaze the potential of youth in order to reduce poverty and youth restiveness.

THE RESTRUCTURING OF THE FEDERAL RADIO CORPORATION OF NIGERIA ACADEMY

The Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) said that it will provide for the state of art equipment for members of the staff of the corporation to perform optimally for FRCN. The FRCN doctor, GENERAL DR. LEYMAN stated this during an assessment tour to stations and Lagos operation as well as National Broadcast Academy OSHOGUNLE.

According to the reporter ADEYEMI ADESUYA of radio Nigeria who said that DR. LEYMAN who commended the staff of the station for their commitment to work despite their limited facilities said that the visit was to ascertain the state of the equipment and manpower with the view to addressing their challenges. According to DR. LEYMAN who said that there were a lot of things to change in the corporation, and also for some people who are working under the condition of in discommendable but since work that had been going on is really impressive and if they can continue with such way, that he is sure that in the near future that they would bring the studio to the classy standard, and they should make sure that there are studios equipment except that they will deliver what people want.

From the National Broadcast Academy, the FRCN boss promised that facilities in the institution would be upgraded while regular training would be organized for instructors in line with modern day’s realities in the broadcast industries. According to one of the spokes persons of the Academy who said that this year that they will make the academy a source of training academy and he said that he thinks that they should pay DR. LEYMAN to make it a source of academy, and he said that they must have upgraded some of the existing structure of the academy for this purpose of training people, and he said also not just FRCN staff alone but staff of other company that has joined the academy.

The chief of the Academy encourages people from the outside because of what LEYMAN said is essential, DR. LEYMAN later had an interacting section with some of the students of the academy and asked them  to fill their purse for the institution.

Also the Director of the Lagos operation, MR. IYAKA MUSU explained that due to the economic down turn on the country, the corporation use key words to partnership and meets the needs of the stations. According to him he advised the Radio Nigeria to use the part of the change that is about to take place to look inward to their programs and restructure their news and other exciting programs to be better than what it used to be and to do this they need to upgrade their equipment as well as go into partnership as already specified for the benefit of some the staff that doesn’t have cash to survive.

MR. IYAKA MUSU also stated that the station under the Lagos operation will continue to operate standards in programming and content. The Director National Broadcast Academy MR. AJIBOLA ABIOLA said that when fully upgraded the institution will be a veritable source of revenue for the corporation.

Also on the accreditation of the academy as an institution that awards ordinary and National Diploma in Nigeria. MR. AJIBOLA ABIOLA said all hands are on deck to actualize the vision.

IMPORTANT OF GIRL CHILD EDUCATION IN NIGERIA: A CASE STUDY OF KADUNA STATE

Kaduna State government in Nigeria said any parents who refused to allow his children between the ages of 6 and 15 years to obtain free education provided by the state government will be arrested and prosecuted. GOVERNOR AHMED advised and stated this at the program entitled ADVOCATING FOR GIRL CHILD EDUCATION organized by NGO YOUTH GROUP AFRICA in Kaduna state Nigeria.

According to reporter from Kaduna state who said that MALLAM LASU emphasize stressed that the state government had concluded arrangement to ensure that every child attends school, he explained that government was feeding 1.8 million people in public schools to ensure that children especially girls acquired sound education. According to him he specified that he does not want any parents to give an excuse in this administration why his child boy or girl is not in the school with effect from September 2016 when the school will open; any child aged between 6 and 15 year found not in the school will have his parents or guardian arrested, prosecuted and send to prison.

Still according to MALLAM LASU, the commissioner of education has already directed that all senior management staff of ministry of Education has sent direct report to parents to remove their children from private schools and put them government school to avoid excuses.

Also speaking the state commissioner for education, science and technology PROFESSOR ANDREW LUCK said government has increased female enrollment in school through award of scholarship. According to PROFESSOR ANDREW who said that all their effort is to encourage female student to enroll and benefit most from these schemes.

The founder of the NGO YOUTH GROUP AFRICA MR. ROTIMI OLAWADE advised parents and traditional rulers to ensure that girls in their community go to schools, according to him; he said that the essence of organizing the program is to shed more light on how to organize and ensure that girls in the community go to school. And this cost the government 10.5 million naira for school children to achieve this objective. MR. ROTIMI OLAWADE also said that in Kaduna state there are lot girls in primary school and some of them later drop out in secondary school.

Also the wife of Kaduna state governor HAJIA HADIS RUFAI noted that girls constitute a significant population which should be supported to acquire quality education. According to her she said that there are many factors militating against the girl child education in Nigeria, particularly in the Northern part of the country, and she specified that this is why programs like this forum is very important because the call is to focus on these issues and the demand is that we rise up to the challenges of providing solutions to them.

Some of the participants on the program emphasized to the government of all level to put more resources to promote GIRL CHILD EDUCATION in the country. According to them, they said that when you educate a girl child, you have completely educated a nation and they also emphasized on the need for parents to make sure that they educate their girl child. THE CURRENT MILLITARY EVENTS IN NIGER STATE IN NIGERIA

The Lagos State Government in Nigeria is to set up judicious commission of enquiry to recent clash between Soldiers and villagers in the state. The commissioner of Justice MR. LASADAM MALLAM stated this while addressing the newsmen on the outcome of the state executive council meeting in MINNA the capital of Niger State in Nigeria.

MR. LASADAM MALLAM said the committee will investigate the remote and the immediate causes of the clash with the root to prevent the future occurrence. WASTE MANAGEMENT ISSUES IN NIGERIA: A CASE STUDY OF OSUN STATE IN NIGERIA

Waste Management had been the major challenges confronting state capital nationwide in Nigeria. According to reporter from Oshogbu the  Osun State capital in Nigeria who narrated their own side of story: the walk on of the state capital reveals it is a city that is stumped on right of the road dump site located in the conspicuous, however, its refuse indiscriminately dumped on the road in the major highways on daily basis. This practice is high in many of more markets are located including ODABAOGBONO, ALEKWODO and amongst others.

Investigations shows that some of the residents bring their waste late in the night and very early in the morning under the cover of darkness to dump on the road side. This practice continues unabated despite the availability of services of private waste collectors, who regularly visit the neighborhoods to collect the wastes, and at the implement of five hundred naira per month. Many Nigerians caught a secondary school age boy while attempting to dump a loaded bag of Waste around 9.00 in the night along DUOGOLUWA ABILI highway. According to the young boy who said that his mother asked him to drop the waste along the way because there was no provision made for them to dump their refuses seem justified to the listeners.

Another resident MR. NANKA KOLAORE added that the cost of expense on private collectors at the rate of five hundred naira per month on waste management was a difficult task for some families with low income to maintain. According to MR. NANKA KOLAORE, he said that there is no way you can compare a family with children and a bachelor/spinster who does not have liabilities to afford the same amount despite the availability of the money.

From the solution mapped out, dumping waste in the middle of the road was in compliance with the government directives when the new waste management policy was introduced, according to waste management authority personnel who said that the government had directed them to do so but stopping them now might be very difficult due to the economic challenges facing the country.

The general Manager of the Osun state Waste Management Agency AHLJI. ILADO ABDUL GANIO confirmed that government introduced the park ways or road maiden in order to mobilize the people when the policy was newly introduced. AHLJI. ILADO ABDUL GANIO also told the people to patronize the registered private waste collectors than dumping the refuse as specified since it is polluting the environment. According to him he said that they have ordered the people of the residence to patronized the newly private waste collectors who are currently in partnership with the government, negotiate with them for a token and they will pick your waste and throw away, and  asked them not to dump refuse outside their gates by the road side.

AHLJI. ILADO ABDUL GANIO said anyone caught dumping waste by the roadside will be prosecuted by Osun state Waste Management Agency.

THE EBONYI STATE GOVERNMENT IN NIGERIA SAID THAT OVER EIGHT HUNDRED THOUSAND STUDENTS ARE RECEIVING TREATMENT AGAINST TROPIC HOLD DISEASES IN THE STATE

The Ebonyi State government said that over eight hundred thousand students are receiving treatment against tropic hold diseases in the state, the state commissioner for health DR. DANIEL UMEZURUIKE announced this while addressing Newsmen in Abakaliki the capital of Ebonyi state in Nigeria.

According to reporter from Abakaliki who narrated the events said the four main neglected tropic hold diseases are: Skistosomiasis, Unconsosiasis, Lymphatic clearriasis and Soil transmitted ementiasis, according to  DR. DANIEL UMEZURUIKE mass administration for the control of the diseases commenced in 2014, following an endemic survey carried out in 2013, he pointed out the administration of the drugs was on going in over 300 schools in EZZA SOUTH, IFO and ABAKALIKI  Local Government Areas of the State. He also urged parents to support Government effort towards eradicating the diseases. Still according to him, he said that if the treatments of the diseases are neglected, it will keep on spreading to other children but if it is treated the circulation will reduce and there will be peace in the city.

DR. DANIEL UMEZURUIKE stated that the ministry will henceforth obtain the consent of affected school and as well as advise parents and school children on the possibility of severe adverse effect of the drugs and what to do on such rare occurrence. Still according to DR. DANIEL UMEZURUIKE he said that the administration of the drug is very critical and the only solution is to measure the height of the people affected and merge it with the number of apartment he/she is supposed to pay.

DR. DANIEL UMEZURUIKE also explained that an incident involving 18 students of a private school who suffered a drug reaction after being treated of the diseases was an isolated case as investigation revealed that many of them were fasting when the drug was ministered on them and that will serve as a caution to other that will partake in the treatment.

THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT HAD BEEN URGED TO FORMULATE THE POLICIES THAT WOULD ADDRESS THE CHALLENGES FACING THE ELDERLY IN NIGERIA

The Federal government had been urged to formulate the policies that would address the challenges facing the elderly in the country, President, senior Citizens Advocacy Network of Nigeria and Nongovernmental organization AHLJI MUSA DARATU made this known in Abuja after the call of the new national executives of the organization. AHLJI MUSA DARATU stated that the social and economic issues facing the well being of the senior citizens are yet to be given attention by the government. According to AHLJI MUSA DARATU who assured the people that they are going to see that the preeminence is in place, and he says if Nigeria did not have that in the constitution, we have a national assembly that can give order so that the Senior citizens should be taken care of.

AHLJJI MUSA DARATU also promised to work with the new executive member of the organization as they come with the measures in building hands welfare that will help contribute to National development. Also according to the President of the Organization ROYAL ADMIRAL CHRISTOPHER IHEAMO, who appealed for the appointment of the senior special assistant to the president and the Elderly, he also told the people that at that moment the organization have senior special assistant on disabled citizens to the MR. PRESIDENT but they don’t have for the elderly people. He still specified that women affairs are managing the elderly people but more attention is given to the youth and women, then, he said that now the elderly people should take the bull by the horn.


ROYAL ADMIRAL CHRISTOPHER IHEAMO said that the Senior Citizens Advocate of Nigeria was formed seven years ago to mobilize and tie citizens across the country to key in to governmental programs to turn their welfare and improve the society.

CURRENT BILL FOR REDUCTION IN AGE REQUREMENT TO CONTEST THE OFFICE OF PRESIDENT IN NIGERIA

The basics law constitutional age requirement for contesting elective offices in the country is currently before the national Assembly. This is generating lots of interests amongst youths in the country who call for reduction in the age qualification for the office president from 40 -30 years.

In Kwara State Nigeria, the National Drug layer Enforcement Agency NDLA has arrested 30 members of 74 suspects, with about 394 kilograms of different hard drugs between January and July this year. The state commander of the agency MR. REUBEN ABBEY, who stated this at the news briefing in ILORIN the capital of Kwara state in Nigeria; he said that 62 of the suspect were loosed and 14 of the suspect had been convicted by the state high court Ilorin on offenses involving possessing and smoking of hard drugs.

According to MR. REUBEN ABBEY who said that the dimension of drug addicts are taking are no longer as of yesterday due to the inflating cost of drugs, they can no longer afford the purchase of the drug because it is very expensive and they now engage in armed robbery to remedy situation. MR. REUBEN ABBEY also said that most of the arrested smokers were the persons at the ages of 19 and 50 years. And many of them were counseled and 30 of them were rehabilitated and habitant their families. The commander NDLA Kwara State charged parents to be mindful of the friends their children keep as bad company corrupt good characters.


Also OPERATION DELTA STATE, the internal security outfit in the Niger Delta in  Nigeria has confirmed an attack on Inspector General of Gun men alleged to be militant on detachment of the 342 Artillery regiment deployed at the member JT in Bayelsa State Nigeria. CURRENT FRAUDS IN NIGERIA AVIATION INDUSTRY FAAN

Stakeholders in the aviation industry had held over the decision of the federal Airport authority of Nigeria to set up an audit team to investigate the financial transaction in account and commercial department of the agency. These followed an alleged discovery of seventy million frauds by one of the accounting officers currently being investigated by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC).

According to reporter of the incident who said that the alleged seventy million frauds had said to be detected by the information and communication technology department earlier in the year and reported, the accused is female of  level 6 account officer said to have diverted registry funds in to different accounts of some staff and others using fictitious fate, according to Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), the management set up a committee which investigated a major suspect and company of others involved in the fraud.

The major suspect according to the committee reports, confessed that some of the money was sent to abroad accounts while the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) is currently investigating the matter; Ex-services Senior Staff Association FAAN branch COMRADE DANJIMA AHMED and the second national President MRS. CICILIA LINTA said the few weight of the law should be applied on anyone found culpable. According to COMRADE DANJIMA AHMED, he said that this kind of problem is not allowed in the society because a lot of people’s allowances are involved in carted away funds and as a result it has affected FAAN financially in settling debt and allowances of the staff. And also MRS. CICILIA LINTA said that whoever that is involved in the crime should be prosecuted accordingly as the law specified.

The management of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has said the objective of the audit is to block all loopholes in revenue sources and ensured that all the funds generated are captured and accounted for by the management. As the accused officer is currently on suspension, the management said it hope the EFCC have unraveled the details of the frauds, punish those involved and welcome management for restore and recurrence.

SANI USMAN troops of 31 artillery Brigade one division of Nigerian Army in conjunction with the Nigerian Air force department on internal security operation have been embarked on a quick covering search in the area, to recover the suspected reference and cash before they came on a simultaneous and sporadic shootings in all the three locations.

The statement also adds that one soldier is still missing while two others were seriously wounded. The suspected armed Bandit also burnt down four operational vehicles and vandalized two others; they also carted away 4 AK 47 Riffles and one public National FM Riffle belonging to the deceased Soldiers. The troops also killed 8 of the armed Bandit and arrested 57 others; they also recovered large quantity of arms and ammunition from the bandits.

As a result of these, the federal government of Nigerian had been advised to organize a meeting of all the leaders of Ethnic groups in Nigeria to address all forms of insurgency in various parts of the country. The supervising Priest of the SAINT MATHEW’S ANGLICAN CHURCH Maitama Abuja, TRUE REV. BEN IDUME gave the advice during this month’s special prayer for the country. , TRUE REV. BEN IDUME expressed concern to the current economic situation in the country and stressed the need to amend the platform for the economic needs affecting their grievances.

According to TRUE REV. BEN IDUME, he specified that the root of these insurgency crises in the nation is as result of poverty and poor economic crises that had subjected the Jobless citizens of the nation in to inhuman and brutal living to the detriment of depriving others of their belongings to sustain their own lives. He also urged the government to listen to the views of these Jobless ones who are hungry and eager to tear the nation apart if nothing is done on their side as this will help to ameliorate the situation.

A SUSPECT DECLARED WANTED IN MAKRUDI BENUE STATE FOR ALLEGED MURDER OF THE SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO THE STATE GOVERNOR MR. DENA IKPENA

A special Joint security operation in Benue State Nigeria has commenced the search for a suspect TIWANSI AKWAZA also known as GHANA who is wanted for an alleged murder, Kidnapping and Armed Robbery. The suspect is accused of being responsible for the killing of senior special Assistant to the state Governor on security MR. DENA IKPENA in May this year.

The search for the suspect follows the directives by the state security council, after its meeting in Markrudi the capital of Benue State, Nigeria. According to the Secretary to the state Government DR. BEN      MELADO, the directive was as a result of the suspect to report to the police to answer charges against him at the end of the character approach extend to him by the government.

The Joint security team has already raided KASTINA ALA local government area where the suspect is set to be hiding, according the correspondent from the area said that now the security team has now raised road blocks at strategic location in KASTINA ALA, TOE TONGA and BISHE TOWN and search every vehicle going in and out of the area, in search of the culprit is been carried out.

This also thrown open to the public for anyone that has information for the suspect or see him should contact the nearest police station for proper arrest.

CURRENT EVENTS FROM JOS THE CAPITAL OF PLATEU STATE IN NIGERIA

The former Vice President ATTIKU ABUBAKAR has called on leader at all levels to govern with equity and fairness, ALHJI ATTIKU stated this when Plateau State Governor SIMON ALLUM paid a visit to his welfare resident  in Jos Plateau State Nigeria. The former vice president said that the security of the citizenry should be given priority to enhance economic development of the country Nigeria.


ALHJI ATTIKU commended Governor SIMON ALLUM for his effort towards united ethnic group which gives priority to the enhancement of economic development in the country and his developmental stride so far achieved within one year of his tenure in the office. He also urged GOVERNOR SIMON ALLUM to always ensure justice to all his respective jurisdiction affiliations.
GOVERNOR SIMON ALLUM who also commended the former Vice President for his input in National development.


 Also following the trend is the commander of General Operation Safe Heaven in Jos the same Plateau state Nigeria MAJOR GENERAL ROGERS NICOLAS has warned officers and men under his command against human right abuses. MAJOR GENERAL ROGERS NICOLAS gave the warning while interacting with officers and men of sector line of the security outfit in the Ria local government area of Plateau state.
