THE SOCIAL MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT AND OTHER AGENCIES HAD BEEN ENSURED THAT POOR ENVIRONMENTAL PROPER ASSESSMENT IS CARRY ON THE PROPOSED MEDICINE PLANT NKALAGU, EBONYI STATE NIGERIA

The social ministry of environment and other agencies had been ensured that poor environmental proper assessment is carry on the proposed medicine plant Nkalagu, Ebonyi State Nigeria before the count of national. First, stakeholders made a call, during an interaction with the environmental regulators, representatives of foreign investors and leaders of the nearest communities in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State capital, Nigeria.

According to reporter from Abakaliki Ebonyi state, Nigeria, he said that the proposed plant which we have the capacity to produce 6000 metric tons of cement B, is to be built on 720km of land over the province communities of Nkalagu, Nkalaohar, Imulahar and Amezo, examining the environmental plant of the new factory. The vice union president of Nkalagu community MR IKECHUKWU UNWA and the representative of the state ministry of solid mineral MR. CHUKWUOBA KOMA stressed the need to avoid the mistakes of the past : where mining pits where left uncovered by the manager of Nkpowod Nigercem Plant,

The female special Assistant to the State governor on cement and salt production MR. SUNDAY UGWUOCHA, explained that the law had been put in place to check the abandonment of the broken pit and other environmental issues such as air and water pollution. And according MR. UGWUOCHA he said that they should ensure that pits is always covered so that it will be useful for other important issues.

The group executive director of the company CHIEF EZE ECHESON emphasized that plans had been made on how to litigate environment issues with the government effort. Still according to him, he said that cement production had taken care of solution in the technology and in the pit ascending laws.

Also the representative of the federal ministry of the environment MR. KELVIN IHENEKE promised that the ministry will ensure that the company complies with the environmental impart assisting act, still according to MR. KELVIN IHENEKE he said that every major development project shall be subjected to assessment prior to execution of the project. He still commented that as the part of the nation to ensure that poor environmental matters are taken of, the ministry had advised the company to incorporate packing spaces for trucks in to his barn.
