The
Lagos State Government in Nigeria is to set up judicious commission of enquiry
to recent clash between Soldiers and villagers in the state. The commissioner of
Justice MR. LASADAM MALLAM stated
this while addressing the newsmen on the outcome of the state executive council
meeting in MINNA the capital of Niger State in Nigeria.
MR. LASADAM MALLAM said the committee will investigate the remote and the
immediate causes of the clash with the root to prevent the future occurrence.
He said that witnesses will be invited to testify before the panel and to come
with the recommendation to the government on ways to address the problem.
Also
the Niger state executive council has approved the seven of the means to travel
SULEJA –IKO City in the state. The Honorable
State commissioner for Lands and Housing ALHJI.
HALILO JINKATURU stated this while briefing the newsmen on the outcome of
the meeting in MINNA. ALHJI. HALILO explained
that this has become imperative to decongest the SULEJA CITY due to proximity to the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.
Similarly,
the commissioner for information, tourism and culture MR. JONATHAN RAKSA gave
the people of Niger state the assurance that government was making effort to
leave it a shortage of parts of life in experience for past four months.
The
Chief of Army Staff LT. COL. GENERAL
CHUKWUDI BOROTAI has urged Warrant officers and none commission Officers to regularly
upgrade their skills; to effective bridge the gap between officers and Soldiers
of the force. GENERAL BOROTAI stated
this in Abuja in marches to closure of this year’s army headquarter Warrant Officers and Non commissioned Officers competition, represented by the Chief of standard and
evaluation army headquarters MAJOR GENERAL
OLALEYA ODALEKE, the chief of the
army staff emphasize on the important of the competition in this category of
personnel. According to MAJOR GENERAL
OLALEYA ODALEKE he made the soldiers to understand the significant important
of the competition to them which he specified to them is for them to understand
the category they belong in the service as to compare with the officers, which
he also let them know that they are like messengers to the officers who passes
and executes information through them in the service of Nigerian Army. He also
specified to them that if they are not fit in this regard, that their superiors
will not get anything important as regard service from them that means that
they will not be useful in the service of Nigerian Army.

GENERAL JOHN MALI were commending the standard of the personnel in the
competition, spoken the various categories of the competition and their
significant to the Army. According to MAJOR GENERAL JOHN MALI who said that
the competition was in five phases, which he specified as (1) OBSTACLE CAUSING, (2) DERAIL: which make soldiers to react in
unison and take proper order, (3) SHOOTING
COMPETITION: which is to sharpen
their skills in terms of weapon army which included shooting and assembling as
well as getting to know the new weapons that are inducted, (4) POINT TO POING MAP IN EXCERCISES: which
is to make them to be able to find his own position any where he drops, the
benefit of this exercise is very numerous according to MAJOR GENERAL JOHN MALI. For
the event which witness the presentation of various cash prices, certificate and
trophies for participants in the competition.
